I’ve been wanting to do this type of post for a long time. It seems I just never got around to it. But now I am doing it so here we go.

Twitter? What is twitter? Why use it? How does it work?

I won’t answer all those questions (because I think the links would do a better job at explaining) but I will tell you what Twitter is. Mean while check out their about page!

Twitter according to Wikipedia is, “a social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users’ updates, tweets, which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.” but it is becoming more than that. it is almost like a web-base IRC client.

The beauty of twitter is the community you can build around yourself and the connections you can make. It is a bigger and more expansive community than what you would get on Facebook or MySpace. Which is what my friend SynapticLight found out when he tweeted this. In layman’s terms its like status messages on Facebook with more chat like features.

Anyway, Twitter is the new “Facebook”. So, get on it and follow me. Here are some resources and applications that will help you out in your quest to twitter.
